What are Iron on Letters?
Iron on letters are singular or grouped letters that are are used with your standard household iron to create your very own worded items of clothing, name tags or just for fun.
Do you buy them in? Or do you make them?
Iron on letters ordered from TeeTransfers are made to order using a large format cutting machine. Each letter is cut from a specialist material and then hand finished by a member of staff. We make on average around 500 letters per day - every day so we know the material we use is the very best in the market.
What will Iron on Letters feel like?
Our letters are cut from a material that is around the same thickness of a standard piece of paper. The letters themselves are a "film" which when heated melt into the garment. The feel is smooth.
Are Your Iron on Letters printed like ive seen elsewhere?
Absolutely not! Printed iron on transfers from our experience do not wash well, start to crack and eventually peel. If applied correctly our iron on letters will not only last a wash at 40 degrees, the letter will retain its shape, feel and look.
Can I order iron on words?
We have our website a transfer builder, this allows you as the user to enter the letters and words required. The letters will be made (usually) in the order you type them, meaning there will be less cutting up and much straigher words.
Can you make different fonts?

What Size Iron on Letters can you make?
TeeTransfers offers iron on letters in many sizes. Our sizes range from a small 2cm high font (suitable for name badges), to a large 20cm high font (suitable for flags etc)

How does your sizing & Iron on Letter options work?
Because of the many different variations of iron on letters, ordering the correct letters and sizes is very important. Below is a description of each of the options we offer:
Uppercase or Lowercase
Uppercase letters are capital letters, the follwing name is all in uppercase: DAVID
Lowercase letters are not capital letters, the following name is all in lowercase: david
What size do I order my lowercase letters to match with uppercase letters?
The exact same size. Your order letters in font size, so a 5cm font DOES NOT mean that each letter will be 5cm in height. Usually CAPITAL letters will be, but lowercase letters are smaller and therefore match the uppercase letters.
For example: The following graphic shows the uppercase letter is 5cm in height, the lowercase letters which are classed a 5cm font are mostly 3.7cm in height. This maintains the look of the font, just like if you were writing on a sheet of paper.
If you were to order the above letters ALL in lowercase, then the sizing would be exactly the same as illustrated by the graphic below:
What will the letters look like after applying? Will there be a background?
No, our letters are cut out of a roll or iron on material. The letters are "just letters" meaning that once applied there will be no background.
